The PS*-4* Sockets Ex de series is built for fast, dependable power connections where equipment is frequently connected/disconnected. Across the range, the sockets support AC‑3 and DC‑1 usage categories (variant-dependent) and feature self-cleaning lamellar contacts to maintain good electrical contact while keeping insertion/removal effort low. The design also provides a large termination area to simplify commissioning and maintenance.
For hazardous-area suitability, the sockets are certified for Zone 1/2 and Zone 21/22 installation, with a carbon-loaded, antistatic GRP enclosure and an IP66 ingress rating to protect internal components from dust and water. The series includes ATEX/IECEx certification details and standardized plug compatibility per IEC 60309 (see Technical Data).
