Benefits
Built on the fundamental Coriolis principle, the Bent-Tube Coriolis Meter uses a pair of bent vibration tubes through which the fluid flows; the induced twist from mass flow is detected and converted into a true mass-flow reading—with additional density and temperature measurements available. The specialised bent tube design offers several operational advantages: smaller installation footprint compared to U-tube types, reduced pressure loss, improved resistance to external vibration and no requirement for long upstream or downstream straight runs.
With high-performance digital driving and DSP signal processing, the meter achieves accuracies in the range of ±0.1% to ±0.2%, and accommodates a wide spectrum of fluids and conditions—from non-Newtonian heavy slurries to high-pressure gases. Available in sensor sizes ranging from DN10 (3/8″) up to DN300 (12″), pressure ratings up to 100 MPa, temperature ranges from –50 °C to +150 °C (with options down to –200 °C or up to +350 °C) and materials of construction that include 316L stainless steel or Hastelloy C.
The design supports multi-parameter output—mass flow, density, temperature and concentration—making it highly versatile. With compact size and minimal installation requirements, it suits food & beverage, chemical, oil & gas, slurry processing and general industrial applications where accurate mass measurement of challenging media is essential.
- True mass-flow measurement, unaffected by fluid density, viscosity, pressure or temperature changes.
- Compact bent-tube design for reduced space requirements and lower pressure drop.
- High accuracy (±0.1%–±0.2%) with excellent repeatability and fast response.
- Broad fluid compatibility: liquids, gases, slurries, suspensions and non-Newtonian flows.
- High pressure and temperature capability (up to ~100 MPa / –200 °C to +350 °C) depending on variant.
- Multiple outputs: 4–20 mA, frequency/pulse, RS-485/Modbus, optional HART, ATEX/IECEx explosion-proof versions.
