Benefits
The SKRD30 Series is engineered to address a wide range of level-measurement requirements—from liquids in tanks to bulk solids in silos—by offering one platform with flexible mounting and probe options. Because the guided-wave radar signal is carried along a probe rather than being emitted freely, it is inherently less prone to disturbances from vapours, foam, turbulence or vessel internals.
For liquids and slurries, the rod or coaxial probe versions provide stable, repeatable measurement even in vessels with agitation or foam. For bulk solids and powders (especially with lower dielectric constants), rope-probe variants can reach up to 30 m, making them suitable for tall silos. The built-in EchoDiscovery processing enables discrimination of the true signal from false echoes (from vessels, internal structures or interfaces). With flame-proof ratings, IP67 protection and a wide variety of process connections and probe options, the SKRD30 Series is ideal for process control, solid-bulk measurement, chemical and petrochemical installations.
Because the series covers multiple sub-models (e.g., SKRD31, SKRD32, SKRD33, SKRD34) it is easy to match the exact variant to your process media (liquid vs solid), range required, temperature/pressure requirements and dielectric constant of the medium—while maintaining a common user interface and signal output platform.
- Continuous level measurement of conductive and non-conductive liquids, pulps and solids.
- Advanced EchoDiscovery™ micro-processor signal processing for challenging environments.
- Very low emission power, safe for mounting on metal or non-metal vessels.
- Multiple probe types (rope, rod, coaxial) and process-connections (thread, flange) to match application needs.
- Standard 4–20 mA output with HART communication (2-wire or 4-wire) for easy integration.
